Food Service

Bonnie Van Wyngarden and her Food Service ‘crew’ have been serving delicious and economical meals to the students at Pella Christian High for over 30 years. They do much more than simply prepare tasty food; they also serve generous helpings of love and encouragement to our students. Please take a couple of minutes to read the following helpful information concerning our Hot Lunch Program, including the option of viewing lunch accounts on-line.

2020/2021 Costs:

1 Lunch = $2.65
20 Lunches = $53 (App. 1 month of meals)
90 Lunches = $238.50 (App. 1 semester)
180 Lunches = $477 (Full year)
Extra Milk = .30 per serving

Any amount may be deposited into your child’s account at registration or during the school year. Payment may be sent with students their first day of school (checks made payable to PCHS Food Service) but there must be a balance in the student’s lunch fund by the first day of classes if they intend to eat hot lunch. During the school year the student will be informed in the lunch line when their fund is running low so they can tell their parents.

Lunch account balances can also be checked on our website:

  1. Select the Parent option top of home page
  2. Select Parent Online Grades Parent Grade Access
  3. Sign in using your parent user name and password (be sure you choose the current school year at the top)
  4. Choose the Lunch option and the lunch fund(s) for your student(s) will come up

Please note that students often charge break food and extra milk to their lunch accounts. These charges will all show up as ‘extra milk’ entries on their account.

Any families that may qualify for free or reduced lunches are encouraged to fill out the application form and return it to the school office as soon as possible. The forms are available on the on-line registration link and in the school office.
