Congratulations to the following girls in qualifying for The Drake Relays this Thursday and Friday. Elizabeth Van Manen in the discus and Chloe Morgan, Mary Kate Bandstra, Erica Nikkel, Evie Armstrong, Taryn Hugen & Morgan Fopma in the 4x100! Elizabeth will compete at 4:00 on Thursday and the 4x100 will run at 5:10 on Friday night.

 

No Caleb Crew this week. See you next week!

 

Tomorrow is Grandparent's Day! Please note a few requests to make things go more smoothly. Parking - The normal parking area for students will be blocked off for your grandparents. Students will need to park east of the cones. Chapel - Chapel will be after 1st period and you will sit with your grandparents. They will already be in the auditorium so your job will be to find them. You will not need to sit with your homeroom. Classes - Grandparents may attend class with you 2nd, 3rd or 4th periods. Please assist your teachers in providing chairs for them to sit in your classroom. There will also be student performances in the auditorium those periods if your grandparents don't care to sit in study hall with you. LUNCH - There will be 6 serving lines tomorrow and you may eat with your grandparents in the commons or the gym. Enjoy the day!!!

 

Shine Drill Team: please pick up your 2016-17 DVD’s from Mr. Blankespoor in the office TODAY during noon hour.

 

Float Riders Needed: Tulip Time is just around the corner and there are 6 opportunities for student groups to ride the PCHS float. Groups would include athletic teams, ESL students, choir or band members, theatre students, drill or cheer squads etc. Organize and sign up in the office. Talk to Mr. Branderhorst if you have questions.

 

Seniors:

-please respond to the e-mail survey Mr. Engbers sent you by Wednesday. Include the specific name of your scholarship if it has a name.

-please take a minute to look at the email sent last Friday and answer three questions for the May Eagle's Cry! Thanks for your help!

-please turn in the Pella Chronicle Senior Interview sheet to the school office TODAY! It takes just a few minutes to fill out during a study hall. They will be turned into the Chronicle office tomorrow. There are extra copies available if needed.

 

 

Attention Juniors:

-Ashley Vander Molen from Dordt College will be on campus at lunch time today. If you responded to her e-mail you are invited to have lunch with her in the Music Room today. If you didn't respond to her, but have some questions you would like to ask please stop in the music room during IM's.

-Your Iowa Assessment testing this Thursday will take place in the following classrooms: Mr. Beekhuizen's homeroom will report to Rm 211 (Mr. Rietema's room), Mr. Hessing's homeroom will be in Rm 217 (Mrs. Renaud's room), and Mr. Anderson's homeroom will be testing in Rm 210 (Mr. Herdegen's room). No chromebooks or other devices are permitted in the testing rooms. You will need appropriate pencils, and one of the math tests does allow you to use a calculator. Reading material or homework that is not online is permitted for times when a test may be completed early. You will have regular breaks as well as lunchtime and IMs, and your dismissal time will be around 2:15.

 

Service Hours: Tulip Time is just around the corner. It is a great opportunity to get your service hours completed by working in a stand, spieling or parking cars. Please get your completed forms turned in to your homeroom teachers the week after Tulip Time. The deadline is May 15!!
