Pray over PC
All are invited on Thursday, August 20 from 9am-3pm at Pella Christian Grade and Pella Christian High School campuses. This is an informal event, please come and go as you like. A resource will be provided to help guide your prayers over our students, teachers, staff and the PC community.
Students and their parents/guardians can also use this time to explore the school, locate lockers, and walk through schedules to find classrooms.
PCGS Welcome/Back to School Night
Pella Christian Grade School families are invited to “Back to School Night” on Thursday, August 20. Meet teachers and classmates, bring in school supplies and enjoy fellowship with cookies in the cafeteria.
- Athletic punch passes and family passes will be available for purchase in the lunchroom, if desired
- Early Education preschool classroom visits from 4:30-6:00pm
- K-8 classroom visits from 5:00-7:00pm
- 5-8 Parents, join Mrs. Sloan and 5-8 staff for a informational meeting in the Legacy Gym at 5:00pm.
PCGS First Day Chapel
Parents, grandparents and friends are invited to join Pella Christian Grade School K-8 students and staff in kicking off the new school year at chapel on Monday, August 24 at 8:40am in the PCGS Legacy Gym. We will be digging into this year’s PC theme of Living God’s Story as Agents of Restoration | Agentes de Restauracion.
Woo Hoo or Boo Hoo… we’ve got coffee for you! Whether you’re celebrating the start of a new school year or feeling a few bittersweet emotions as you send your child off, you’re invited to enjoy a cup of coffee and donut holes, connect with other parents, and encourage one another. We look forward to beginning the year together in community. Coffeetime is provided by the PC Connections Committee.

PCHS Back to School Night
PCHS parents/guardians are invited to “Back to School Night” on Monday, August 24 beginning at 7:00pm in the Vermeer Auditorium. The evening will allow parents/guardians the opportunity to meet their child’s teachers, walk through their child’s schedule, and spend time in fellowship with others in the Pella Christian community. Please note, this event is targeted towards high school parents/guardians.

First Day of School
Preschoolers: Please refer to the information from your teacher on your start date.
All Kindergarteners through 8th Graders: Monday, August 24 is the first day with a 11:35am dismissal. School begins at 8:25am for K-5 students and 8:20am for 6-8 students.
New High School Students (including all Freshman): Monday, August 24 is the first day from 8:20am – 11:30am.
All High School Students: Tuesday, August 25 from 8:20am-3:20pm.
