Pella Christian is rooted in the Reformed faith and firmly believe that God is sovereign over all areas of life and learning, including our curricular and co-curricular activities. To fulfill the PC mission, our teachers and staff are supported by the Teaching for Transformation framework and our coaches are guided by the Coaching for Transformation framework. Recent Professional Development for teachers has focused on Teaching for Transformation, Deeper Learning, Student Support Services, and peer collaboration.

We are seeking highly qualified individuals who are in full agreement with Pella Christian’s Statement of Faith. Pella Christian Grade School and Pella Christian High School are accredited by Christian Schools International (CSI). Applicants must possess or be able to obtain proper licensure/endorsements as described in the job description.

Teacher candidates may be invited to visit campus for an interview and to teach an appropriate lesson. When a visit or teaching opportunity is not possible, candidates may be invited to interview through Zoom and asked to send a video recording of a class they’ve taught.

Teaching Positions

Pella Christian Schools is prayerfully seeking a full-time High School Spanish Teacher for the second semester of the 2026-27 School Year.

At Pella Christian High School, we are passionate about our mission to empower God’s children to join in His restorative work. Our team of dedicated educators is committed to living out this mission by fostering a culture that supports students’ spiritual, academic, and social growth. We are seeking a qualified educator who is passionate about world language instruction and Spanish language and culture. The ideal candidate will inspire students by developing students’ proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish; integrating cultural understanding into instruction; embracing collaboration; and facilitating high-quality, student-centered learning that equips students to communicate effectively and engage thoughtfully in a global community.

Educational Requirements:

  • Possess or be able to obtain an Iowa Teaching License. 
  • Possess or be able to obtain a Spanish Endorsement. 

Individual Requirements:

  • Desire to honor Christ in all teaching and learning activities.
  • Demonstrate outstanding content knowledge and an understanding of the teaching and learning process.
  • Establish and carry out learning objectives based on a Reformed Biblical perspective and consistent with student needs, curricular standards, and knowledge of student growth and development.
  • Properly administer and utilize assessments to inform instruction.
  • Improve skill and knowledge based on current trends, research, and methods in instructional techniques, technology, problem solving, and interdisciplinary connections.
  • Work effectively with students, parents, administrators, colleagues, and the greater community.
  • Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills with students and colleagues.

Support Positions

Pella Christian School Transportation Department is looking for an individuals who might be interested in obtaining their Class B CDL, with School Bus and Passenger endorsements, to drive a bus route and/or activity bus.  Individual training available by a certified trainer – whom can help prepare you for the Department of Transportation test in a day or two.  If you don’t feel this is for you, please tell someone that might be interested. This is a great opportunity for retired individuals with flexible schedules!
