Pella Christian is rooted in the Reformed faith and firmly believe that God is sovereign over all areas of life and learning, including our curricular and co-curricular activities. To fulfill the PC mission, our teachers and staff are supported by the Teaching for Transformation framework and our coaches are guided by the Coaching for Transformation framework. Recent Professional Development for teachers has focused on Teaching for Transformation, Deeper Learning, Student Support Services, and peer collaboration.

We are seeking highly qualified individuals who are in full agreement with Pella Christian’s Statement of Faith. Pella Christian Grade School and Pella Christian High School are accredited by Christian Schools International (CSI). Applicants must possess or be able to obtain proper licensure/endorsements as described in the job description.

Teacher candidates may be invited to visit campus for an interview and to teach an appropriate lesson. When a visit or teaching opportunity is not possible, candidates may be invited to interview through Zoom and asked to send a video recording of a class they’ve taught.

Teaching Positions

Pella Christian Schools are prayerfully seeking applicants for a full-time Middle School Support Service Teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year. 

Pella Christian Grade School is passionate about our mission of “empowering God’s children to join in His restorative work”.  Our team of first-class middle school educators is committed to living out our mission by creating a culture of belonging, discovery, and participation. We are currently seeking to add a qualified educator who loves to journey with middle school students, embraces collaboration, and desires to facilitate high-quality, student-centered learning.  

Educational Requirements:

  • A Bachelor of Arts in Elementary or Secondary Education
  • Hold or have the ability to obtain an Iowa Teaching License with proper endorsements to teach in a middle school special education classroom.
  • Agree to the Pella Christian Grade School Belief Statement

Pella Christian Schools is prayerfully seeking applicants for a Part-time English Specific Skills Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.  This position includes teaching English specific skills through content areas of Bible or Social Studies to our 3rd-5th Spanish Immersion students. This position is considered to be 50% of a full-time contract. This is a contractual position from August 1-July 31.

Pella Christian Schools is prayerfully seeking a full-time High School Spanish Teacher for the 2026-27 School Year.

We are seeking a qualified educator who is passionate about world language instruction and Spanish language and culture. The ideal candidate will inspire students by developing students’ proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish; integrating cultural understanding into instruction; embracing collaboration; and facilitating high-quality, student-centered learning that equips students to communicate effectively and engage thoughtfully in a global community.

Educational Requirements:

  • Possess or be able to obtain an Iowa Teaching License. 
  • Possess or be able to obtain a Spanish Endorsement.

Support Positions

Pella Christian School is prayerfully seeking passionate and dedicated applicants for a Cheerleading Coach for the 2026-27 school year. The Cheerleading Coach is responsible for organizing and executing the cheer program. This role involves coaching and fostering a positive team environment with the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young athletes.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in working with students, parents, and administration.
  • Self-motivation, creativity, and organization.
  • CPR and concussion certifications.
  • Agreement with the Pella Christian School Mission and Statement of Faith, and membership and regular participation at a Christian church.

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and supervise a regular program of tryouts and practices for cheerleaders.
  • Give individual student instruction in the skills and fundamentals of cheer.
  • Make every effort to develop the talents of each participating student by utilizing personal attention and individualized instruction.
  • Closely monitor team and team safety during practices and performances.
  • Address behavioral and learning issues with students, staff and parents appropriately.
  • Communicate frequently with the Activities Director.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all cheerleading equipment and uniforms, and supervise the cleaning, storing, and safekeeping of equipment and uniforms.
  • Build a team culture around Christian values, including Christ-like sportsmanship and behavior.

Pella Christian School Transportation Department is looking for an individuals who might be interested in obtaining their Class B CDL, with School Bus and Passenger endorsements, to drive a bus route and/or activity bus.  Individual training available by a certified trainer – whom can help prepare you for the Department of Transportation test in a day or two.  If you don’t feel this is for you, please tell someone that might be interested. This is a great opportunity for retired individuals with flexible schedules!
