Pella Christian is rooted in the Reformed faith and firmly believe that God is sovereign over all areas of life and learning, including our curricular and co-curricular activities. To fulfill the PC mission, our teachers and staff are supported by the Teaching for Transformation framework and our coaches are guided by the Coaching for Transformation framework. Recent Professional Development for teachers has focused on Teaching for Transformation, Deeper Learning, Student Support Services, and peer collaboration.

We are seeking highly qualified individuals who are in full agreement with Pella Christian’s Statement of Faith. Pella Christian Grade School and Pella Christian High School are accredited by Christian Schools International (CSI). Applicants must possess or be able to obtain proper licensure/endorsements as described in the job description.

Teacher candidates may be invited to visit campus for an interview and to teach an appropriate lesson. When a visit or teaching opportunity is not possible, candidates may be invited to interview through Zoom and asked to send a video recording of a class they’ve taught.

Administrative Positions

Pella Christian Grade School is prayerfully seeking applicants for an Early Education through Fourth Grade Principal for the 2026-2027 school year. 

Due to continued enrollment and hiring growth, our current Early Education to 8th Grade Principal position is being divided into two positions. It is with great excitement and anticipation that we look forward to seeing how God will continue to build our program through the skills, talents, and heart of an additional leader.

Teaching Positions

Pella Christian Grade School is seeking a long-term substitute teacher to joyfully and skillfully lead one of our Kindergarten classrooms. This position is anticipated to begin in March and continue through the end of the school year.

At Pella Christian, our mission is to empower God’s children to join in His restorative work. We believe that even our youngest learners are active participants in God’s story, and we’re looking for a teacher who delights in helping them grow academically, socially, and spiritually through a loving and Christ-centered environment.

Pella Christian Schools is prayerfully seeking a full-time High School Vocational Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor for the 2026-27 School Year.

At Pella Christian High School, we are passionate about our mission to empower God’s children to join in His restorative work. Our team of dedicated educators is committed to living out this mission by fostering a culture that supports students’ spiritual, academic, and social growth. We are seeking a qualified educator who is passionate about agricultural education and the development of leadership through FFA. The ideal candidate will inspire students by integrating hands-on vocational agriculture instruction with FFA opportunities, embrace collaboration, and facilitate high-quality, student-centered learning that equips students for success in agriculture and beyond.

Educational Requirements:

  • Possess or be able to obtain an Iowa Teaching License. 
  • Possess or be able to obtain a Vocational Agriculture Endorsement.

Support Positions

Pella Christian School is prayerfully seeking applicants for a 7th grade boys basketball coach for the 2026 season starting in January.  The position entails coaching the 7th grade boys’ basketball program, developing student athletes on and off the court, and fostering a culture of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Prior coaching experience (preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of basketball rules, techniques, and strategies
  • Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school administration
  • Current coaching certification, first aid, and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Agreement with the Pella Christian Schools Mission and Statement of Faith

Job Requirements:

  • Fulfill the mission of Pella Christian Schools of empowering God’s children to join in His restorative work.
  • Build a team-culture around Christian values, including Christ-like sportsmanship and accountability
  • Ensure compliance with school, league, and IHSAA guidelines, including maintaining a safe practice and game environment

Pella Christian School Transportation Department is looking for an individuals who might be interested in obtaining their Class B CDL, with School Bus and Passenger endorsements, to drive a bus route and/or activity bus for the 2024-2025 school year.  Individual training available by a certified trainer – whom can get prepare you for the Department of Transportation test in a day or two.  If you don’t feel this is for you, please tell someone that might be interested. This is a great opportunity for retired individuals with flexible schedules!
