Pella Christian’s Middle School Theatre Troupe presents The Black Pearl. Performances are November 6 and 7 at 7:00pm in the PCHS Vermeer Auditorium.

The Black Pearl is an original script written by Elizabeth Bos, Pella Christian’s Middle School Language Arts teacher. She drew her inspiration from two beloved adventure novels by Robert Louis Stevenson: Treasure Island and Kidnapped.

The play is set in 1751, in Scotland and out on the open sea. It unfolds in the wake of the Jacobite Rebellion, a turbulent moment in Scottish history that gives the story its sense of risk and unrest. Fans of Stevenson’s tales of pirates, perilous voyages, and narrow escapes will feel right at home.

No tickets are necessary, a free will offering will be taken.
