Pella Christian High School is thrilled to announce the installation of a new state-of-the-art video scoreboard at PC Stadium, made possible through the generous support of Precision Pulley & Idler (PPI). The new Daktronics video scoreboard, measuring 25 feet wide by 37.5 feet high, will debut this spring and elevate the game day experience for fans, families, and student athletes alike.

This exciting addition marks the latest in a series of significant enhancements to PC Stadium, including new turf, track resurfacing, and rebuilt retaining walls. These improvements were made possible by the faithful generosity of Pella Christian supporters and reflect a shared commitment to Pella Christian’s mission of Empowering God’s children to join in His restorative work.

The timing could not be better. As the Eagles prepare to kick off another spring season, excitement is already building across campus. Coming off a historic year in which the girls track and field team captured the Class 2A State Championship, anticipation for this spring is high as athletes look to build on that legacy of excellence. The energy extends beyond track, with soccer teams ready to defend home field and the football program anticipating another competitive fall filled with Friday night traditions.

“We’re incredibly excited about the continued transformation of PC Stadium,” said Activities Director Dan Branderhorst. “These improvements will serve our student athletes and our community for years to come. We are especially grateful to our Building and Grounds Committee for their leadership and expertise throughout the process, and to PPI for their remarkable generosity in making this video board possible.”

The new video board will bring more than instant replays, realtime race finishes and dynamic graphics. It will create opportunities for students serving in the tech booth to gain hands-on experience in live production, digital media, and event management. Students will expand their skills while enhancing the overall atmosphere of PC events both in-person and through the PC Youtube Livestream.

PPI CEO Matt Buckingham shared, “As a 100% employee-owned company, we are proud to support the communities where our employees live and work. Pella Christian Schools is one of many schools represented by our employee-owners, and we’re honored to invest in its future.”

The new video board stands as a visible symbol of partnership between Pella Christian and the broader community. It reflects a generational network of supporters, families, alumni, and local businesses who continue to invest in students today as they actively live out their faith and make a Kingdom impact both now and in the years to come.
